Meta Description
The short description that appears below the page title in search results . It explains in one or two sentences what the page is about and is designed to entice users to click. While the meta description doesn't directly determine your ranking, it does influence how often people select your result. Good descriptions are clear, concise, and free of clichés.
The meta description isn't a ranking factor, but it does influence whether someone clicks. It's the only advertising space you can customize yourself in the search results. If you leave it blank, Google will construct a sentence from the text, usually an unfortunate one.
Practical guidelines: around 150 to 155 characters; Google cuts off any longer. The search term should be included, as it will be highlighted in bold, and the description should offer some benefit, not just be a list. A good description noticeably improves the click-through rate (CTR) even with the same ranking position. Moving from position 4 (4%) to 6% of the results equates to 200 additional visitors out of 10.000 search queries, without any change in the ranking itself.
