Hosting
Hosting is the physical location where your website resides. All files and databases are stored on a server that is connected to the internet 24/7. Without hosting , your website may be built, but it won't be accessible anywhere. The quality of your hosting determines speed, security, and availability. Or to put it another way: there's a difference between your spaceship being in a workshop and one sitting on a proper launchpad.
Hosting is the physical space where your website is located and from which it is delivered. Surprisingly, the price says very little about the performance. Three things are crucial: how many websites share the same server, what server software is running, and how fast the storage devices are.
The difference is measurable. An oversubscribed shared hosting plan often delivers the first byte only after 800 to 1.500 milliseconds. A well-designed environment with LiteSpeed, NVMe storage, and server-side caching achieves 100 to 300 milliseconds. Our packets differ precisely in this respect: The base station runs on Apache with HTTP/2, while the spacecraft runs on LiteSpeed with HTTP/3 and QUIC.
