Wireframes
Schematic designs of your website without any actual layout. Only boxes, lines, and placeholders show where navigation, content, images, and buttons will be located. Wireframes clarify the structure and user experience before discussing colors and fonts. This saves time and effort on later revisions because everyone sees how the site will function from the outset.
A wireframe is the floor plan before the interior design: boxes, labels, order, no colors and no images. This very absence is the point. As long as nothing is aesthetically pleasing, the discussion focuses on content and order, not on shades of blue.
The benefit becomes apparent in the revision cycle. A change in the wireframe takes minutes, the same change in the finished design takes hours, and in the built state often takes half a day. Experience shows that anyone who, when working with a twelve-page website, agrees on the three most important pages beforehand as a floor plan saves more time than the drawing itself cost.
