Google Search Console

SEO & GEO

Google Search Console is a free tool that shows you how Google sees your website. Unlike analytics tools, it doesn't measure your visitors' behavior, but rather your visibility in search results.

Four areas are important in everyday use. Under Performance, you can see which search queries you appear for, your ranking, and how often you are clicked. Under Pages, you can see which addresses are indexed and why others are not. The Sitemaps overview reports processing errors, and the Core Web Vitals show the loading performance based on real user data.

The combination of high impressions and a low click-through rate is particularly lucrative. These pages are found, but they don't perform well in search results. A better title and a more precise description are usually all it takes.

Setting it up takes only a few minutes and is beneficial for every website, even small ones. Without it, you won't notice problems until your traffic has already plummeted.
