Dedicated Hosting
Dedicated hosting means that you have an entire physical server exclusively at your disposal, without other customers sharing resources with you.
Unlike shared hosting or a VPS, a dedicated server runs exclusively on your project. You have complete control over the operating system, software, and configuration, or you can leave that to a managed hosting provider. CPU, RAM, and storage space are fully available without fluctuations from other websites, which is especially important for high and irregular traffic.
Example: A comparison portal with 200.000 visitors per month and heavy peak loads during promotions switches from a VPS with 4 CPU cores to a dedicated server with 16 cores and 64 GB of RAM. The response time during peak load drops from 1,8 seconds to under 300 milliseconds because no other customers are consuming processing time.
Before booking, check whether your actual traffic justifies a dedicated server, as the costs are significantly higher than shared hosting and VPS. For most small and medium-sized websites, well-configured managed hosting or a VPS is sufficient.
